Nancy Reagan and Mr T

There are some images so surreal that you just can't quite wrap your head around them. This one comes via Neatorama:

Yes, your eyes aren't deceiving you. That's Nancy Reagan sitting on Mr. T's lap (Santa T?), giving him a smooch, at a White House Christmas party in 1983. The First Lady actually requested Mr. T come to the party dressed as Santa Claus. This photo was printed in countless newspapers and magazines around the world.

I Get Mail: WHAT ABOUT "SEASON (10) TEN?"...

Looks like Bill is about to launch is mission to inflict himself on an unsuspecting ex-X-Files director:

Before, I run half-cocked out to California seeking Kim Manners(One of the Directors of The X Files) I would like to know if such a venture out West to rev-up the former thirteen productions location ? I am not only an unregistered fan bummed out, as thousands happen to be; I am trying to facilitate the energy towards some worthwhile end! Honestly, the epidode invilving the Birth of William holds so much! To think that The Wonderful Actors, Jillian Anderson and David Duchovny, ARE A MUST is nonsense...Lucky for Chris Carter et al. They gave his series a wonderful start; but the plot and the writing skills deserve so much more! Please respond!

Okay, so he's dropped plans to harass Chris Carter and has switched target to Kim Manners. Who knows why?

He's an unregistered fan? I don't even know what that means. He likely should be registered as menace and his whereabouts broadcast so any of his intended victims can get out of his flight path or have warning to release the guard dogs.

Aside from still being unable to deal with the series having ended years ago, he's obsessed with a rather lame subplot and wishes to carry it on under his own steam without the show's two main stars. Somehow he seems to have missed a major clue here. The show worked due the chemistry of Anderson and Duchovny and the brilliant writing and directing of a small core of talented people.

Bill is under the impression that he can set all that aside all of the things that made the show work so well, throw together his own screenplay and hand it to a director who will likely see him escorted off the premises if he manages to get close enough to had it over.

I'd be quite happy if somebody could round up Bill with a butterfly net and get him back on his meds, because I do not get why he insists on getting my approval for his delusions.

Furry Thief Grabs Christmas Present Out of Grocery Store Aisle

Some people just can't wait to open their Christmas presents. That apparently was the case with a short and very fast thief who went to a store in Murray, grabbed a present and made a clean getaway on all fours.

At Smith's Food & Drug in Murray, a popular place these days is the manager's office, where they have the surveillance video. You had to see to believe it, but it happened. So, it's crazy, said Tracy Jacobson, with Smith's Food & Drug.

A suspicious character entered through the front door. I've never seen him shop in here before; brand new customer, didn't even have his Fresh Value card, store manager Roger Adamson said.

What happened next is already becoming legend. I mean, how likely is that? For a dog to walk into a store, go down the pet aisle, get his bone and walk out? Jacobson said.

Hollow Spy Coins

Had a chat to Brian and asked if he only made them up according to historical spy coins or could do requests. I'm quite fond of Buffalo nickels and Brian was happy to make me up a Buffalo nickel spy coin. It arrived this week and is seriously geeky cool

And we finally get to the point, he's written a screenplay:

Having been an X Files watcher for many revolutions of Series 1(ONE)-9(NINE) and whereas thirteen productions has LEFT THE SCENE I would like to serve as a catalyst or offer my own screenplay following the Birth of Baby William! How could I?

I don't know how far unsolicited fan screenplays get in a television production office, but I'm betting it's a short trip from the mail room to the shredder.

In the past, I have attempted to explain to Bill the error of spamming people with unsolicited crap, but it appears to have fallen on deaf ears.

From this take, I can only assume that Bill's decided that Chris Carter has abandoned his characters to the public domain and he is now free to run off and make his own version of the X-Files. Bill may need to have a little chat with a copyright lawyer over that one.

For some odd reason, Bill felt the need to spam this twice:

May I contact,by email, and discuss my ideas with Red Wolf as I have some rather unique, perhaps unheard of, ideas that warrant some professional respect and feedback? Before I take more time and space that this little, amateurish site provides? If not Red Wolf, whom may I contact inre to The X Files Thank You for your attention; I earnestly desire some feedback

I have repeatedly attempted to explain to Bill, using really small words, that I have no connection to Chris Carter, The X-Files or anything else he seems obsessed with. I have had no luck explaining that I'm not even in the same country he is, but it all seems to fall on deaf ears.

Oh well, I figure he'll be back again next week.

I Get Mail: Educated (?) Educator

If you have any form of online presence sooner or later you'll get odd email.

I have an interesting regular missive sender with an X-Files fetish and a seriously dodgy grip on reality. I figure it's about time to share Bill's emails with the world. Plus it should serve as a warning that if you feel the need to send me insane email, I may well feel the urge to share it with a wider audience.

Dear Red Wolf, Would it be feasible to personally fly out to Los Angeles, the former site of thirteen productions, to rally or promote the cause of continuing Chris Carter's BRAINCHILD deeply imbedded into his X Files Never has a series left the stage with such an easy or simple to return to the original plot formation...Okay Mulder has left in a rather earth shaking event; But he left behind Little William and Scully...AND SUCH A CADRE OF WRITERS! I know I can speak for millions who would rather sit on their duffs lamenting! Please respond and I wil submit the Hows And Wherefores, [Bill's full name and address removed]

He's got the uppercase shouting, the weird title casing of unrelated words, peculiar quoting and interesting spelling down, but email forms do limit you in your ability to change the font to Comic Sans, switch the colours to clown vomit and add blink tags, so it could have looked even more wacky.
