Dawn snuggled in Spike's arms as they watched the fireworks display. "I remember the first time I saw fireworks, you know, as much as I remember anything. I was five and Mom and Dad had taken Buffy and I to the state fair. I thought the stars were exploding."
Spike smiled. "I was ten. It was the first competition between British firework makers at the Crystal Palace. There were about 20,000 people there. I'd never seen anything like it."
Dawn rolled her eyes good-naturedly, "Alright, you win."
Spike tightened his hold around her waist, "This display is my favorite though."
