"Maybe it's for mind control. It catches the light and all the übervamps start doing ballet or something?" Grinning, Dawn held the amulet up and twisted the chain slightly, causing it to twirl. Tiny flecks of light bounced around the room.
Spike raised an eyebrow. "They've got minds to control?"
Her face fell. "Point."
She looked at him again, sliding in closer on the cot. "But that doesn't..."
He touched her cheek. "Don't know what it means, Bit."
"You're not allowed to die."
He placed a kiss on her forehead. "As long as you and Buffy live, I'll be fine."
