by Red Wolf"This was a brilliant idea." Jack grabbed Rose's hand, pulling her to his side before she slipped. They dodged the shattered missile in their path and caught up with the Doctor.
"Not my fault the locals have strange ideas about winning competitions." The Doctor was quite proud of the rapid fire trebuchet he'd entered in a contest to fling large vegetables the furthest. Unfortunately, they were now moving targets in a full fledged test of the weapon.
Rose panted heavily as they headed for the TARDIS. "How about next time you read the fine print before you get involved, yeah?"

That fine print'll get you every time. I watched a documentary about trebuchet's a few weeks ago. By coincidence, I was watching Dr. Who last night when they introduced a roguish new character, a young American scam artist who'd I'd only seen before in print — your print. He's pretty much the way I'd imagined him! — via LiveJournal

I believe this weekend's episode on the Science Fiction Channel is the first time he's ever appeared in American TV, so there could soon be hordes of adoring Jack fans everywhere. Me, I'll remain more of a Rose fan, what with her having the advantage of being female and all — via LiveJournal

Maybe he just needed specs?? — via LiveJournal — posted by mad_jaks at 09.10.2007 17:29 AEST |
The specs of the trebuchet seem fine, the rules of the contest, on the other hand, may have needed another read through — via LiveJournal
