by Red WolfXander watched as Spike returned from the bar with a large bowl of spicy nibblies and a toxic green mocktail.
"Why do you eat?"
Spike shrugged. "Taste, texture. I enjoy it," he said around a mouthful of chilli chicken.
"But you don't have a functioning digestive system."
"Life isn't about doing what's best for you, Harris. Enjoy the little things while you can."
Dawn was still trying to figure out which plastic decoration was the straw. "That's why he chews things up really well. Food comes out, much the same as it went it."
Xander's colour almost matched Dawn's drink.

That's what I've always figured also. Someone once posted a great story about Angel being rip roaring drunk and as he's pissing it away, he thinks about just recycling the stuff — after all it's just the same as when he initially drank it.

Haven't run across the other story before, sounds amusing.
I guess it does give pause for thought on the topic of recycling — via LiveJournal — posted by Red Wolf at 13.01.2005 19:16 AEST |

Why does everyone make such fun of the Dawn-concoctions? Who hasn't had that banana and peanut butter pancake thingy that she attempted making? Am I the only one who has tried that as well? ::sigh:: — via LiveJournal

Nobody asks for mountains of plastic things in drinks, so it's more of a commentary on the the establishment than on Dawn — via LiveJournal

It doesn't take into account food moving through his system, but Spike moves, blood he ingests moves, so I don't see why food wouldn't also move even if it wasn't digested — via LiveJournal

We were having a talk at the dinner table about what all we've puked up before...Intresting. I gotta go. Toodles!
