Dawn made garbled sounds of protest, but her cries were effectively drowned out by Labrador slobber.
When Spike clicked his tongue, Buster released Dawn and obediently trotted to stand at Spike's side.
With a glare, Dawn levered herself up on her elbows. "When you said you were bringing home something chocolate, I didn't expect him."
Spike tossed her a Lindt ball and waited until Dawn popped it in her mouth before whistling. He grinned as Dawn was again flattened, this time by Levi, as the Husky applied himself to the task of retrieving the chocolate.
"Guess who we're babysitting tonight?"
