by Red WolfSpike's exploration of the house hadn't got any further than the Playstation. He ensconced himself on the couch and settled in to blast monsters away while hurtling through a pixilated landscape at speeds that were making Dawn feel faintly queasy.
She excused herself and wandered through the rest of the house. She'd found the bedrooms and bathrooms, but was surprised by what she found in the garage under the house.
"Spike, there have to be twenty cars and motorcycles down there."
"Is that all? Anything catch your eye?"
"I hope you're planning on asking first." Wolf stood in the doorway.

I think Spike had a Nintendo system of some sort in Angel, he was playing crappy Nintendo games — via LiveJournal

He actually had an XBox, and was playing Donkey Kong at one point (the old arcade one) and Crash Bandicoot at another. I don't own one, so I don't know if either of those games were actually for the system (TV/movie writers seem to be annoyingly ignorant when it comes to videogames), but whatever. A few times he was also playing Gameboy as well.
But anyway, considering that Spike has the attention span of a gnat, I can definitely see him being big with the videogames. I kind of figure during "that summer" him and Dawn played a lot, but maybe that's just me. :p
Damn, did he just waltz into Wolf's house without permission and start playing? Spike, ever the polite one. XD — via LiveJournal — posted by Radia at 27.09.2004 18:38 AEST |

Xbox, being the crappest gaming system (it's a Windows box, it blue screens), would be why I didn't know what it was, I just assumed the more palatable game box — via LiveJournal

I don't think he was. *g* And of course he'd be glued to the PlayStaton. *ggg* — via LiveJournal

*grins at Spike's obsession with the Playstation* It's too bad that Dawn didn't get the chance to play with any of Wolf's toys before he found her — via LiveJournal

Spike didn't find Dawn, he was still attached to the Playstation, she came back from the garage to report what she'd found — via LiveJournal

Nice use of the word of the week! I can see Spike plunking down to play games while Dawn goes snooping about — I'd guess he's seen it all before, eh? Very cool. :-) — via LiveJournal

You're the first to think that Spike has seen it all before, and you're right — via LiveJournal

I'm pretty sure Spike was playing Donkey Kong on an XBox as therapy after he had his hands sewn back on. (My daughter explained how this was feasible, but it went in one ear and out the other!) I could well imagine him being really good at computer games... well and sex too... ahem! Went off into a happy daydream there. ;0)
Good story. Is Wolf pleased to see them? *gnaws nails* — via LiveJournal — posted by Grandmum at 27.09.2004 18:47 AEST |

Thanks for the XBox info. I have no interest in that platform, so didn't recognise it. And really, who realises Donkey Kong on a gaming platform? It belongs on those crappy little handheld units from back in the day. A gaming platform is a waste — via LiveJournal
