Raiment

Raimentby Red Wolf

Rose gave Jack an appraising look as he joined them in the console room. She couldn't help but notice he was wearing leather trousers that were so tight you could almost see the veins on his —

"Sure you want to wear that?" The Doctor neatly derailed Rose's train of thought. "This is late 20th century, middle America."

Rose smiled as Jack argued with the Doctor over Earth customs. She had to admit he looked a treat, but it wasn't exactly what she'd call incognito. She could see it would all end in tears, which was par for the course, really.

Sounds like he'll be in trouble if he tries to pick a penny off the ground. Or sit down. ;) — via LiveJournal — posted by laridian at 23.09.2007 17:16 AEST | #

I don't think those would concern Jack that much. Breathing on the other hand... — via LiveJournal — posted by Red Wolf at 23.09.2007 17:17 AEST | #

Just a dash of wickness. I love your drabbles! Now I seriously want to watch the good Doctor again; damn my lack of cable — via LiveJournal — posted by willa_writes at 23.09.2007 17:17 AEST | #

Many thanks! Must prod the muse into supplying coherence for some longer stuff one of these days. Possibly sooner, I have ficathons to attand to — via LiveJournal — posted by Red Wolf at 23.09.2007 17:18 AEST | #

Late twentieth century? Middle America? Incognito?

Tell him to change into jeans — via LiveJournal — posted by Mark Hunter at 23.09.2007 17:23 AEST | #

But then he wouldn't get to swan around in tight leather trousers — via LiveJournal — posted by Red Wolf at 23.09.2007 17:24 AEST | #

Yeah, but — incognito. Men in middle America just don't wear tight leather trousers, except in some of the big cities — and not usually there. It would be like Spock walking around with his ears showing — via LiveJournal — posted by Mark Hunter at 23.09.2007 17:25 AEST | #

That would be why the Doctor mentions that it's not such a good idea — via LiveJournal — posted by Red Wolf at 23.09.2007 17:26 AEST | #

Maybe he's watched Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home. They've gotta have a TV somewhere in that phone booth — via LiveJournal — posted by Mark Hunter at 23.09.2007 17:26 AEST | #

Late 20th century middle America — home to many a lycra clad comic book hero. Skin tight leather ought to fit right in. ::Hugs the vision of Captain Jack close to her heart:: — via LiveJournal — posted by mad_jaks at 23.09.2007 17:31 AEST | #

Don't hug him too tight, the over-stressed leather may not take the strain. ::thinks about that:: Never mind — via LiveJournal — posted by Red Wolf at 23.09.2007 17:32 AEST | #
