Procurement

Procurementby Red Wolf

"The party of the first part, henceforth know as..." Spike read the opening paragraph of the document. "Are you having a lend?"

"Whenever Buffy borrows DVDs they get eaten, slimed and melted. " Anya stood behind the counter ticking points off on her fingers. "You're having movie night with Dawn at Buffy's house, you sign the paperwork."

"What happens if I don't return the goods?"

"You pay for replacements or get consigned to a hell dimension."

Spike signed on the line and collected the discs, wondering if using Xander's name voided the agreement. He was almost tempted to find out.

Hehe! Very funny and Very anya-esque — via LiveJournal — posted by Becca at 07.02.2005 14:51 AEST | #

Thanks. Wanted to take the challenge somewhere other than the obvious and Anya seemed the key to that — via LiveJournal — posted by Red Wolf at 07.02.2005 14:52 AEST | #

And very Spike, using Xander's name. Heh. Like Anya wouldn't notice that, two seconds after Spike walked out the door. :-) — via LiveJournal — posted by chicken at 07.02.2005 14:55 AEST | #

But Spike is out the door with his movies so Anya would have to get him back later — via LiveJournal — posted by Red Wolf at 07.02.2005 16:29 AEST | #

Yes! That's what I was trying (inarticulately) to say. :-) — via LiveJournal — posted by chicken at 07.02.2005 16:30 AEST | #

This is perfect. So very, very Anya. And I think I'm going to use this idea with my husband. He always borrowing my music cds and never putting them back in the box! — via LiveJournal — posted by a2zmom at 19.02.2005 10:24 AEST | #

Good luck with your husband. There's no guarantee it will work, but a long list of transgressions may be embarrassing — via LiveJournal — posted by Red Wolf at 19.02.2005 10:24 AEST | #

::giggles:: Oh that is so Anya. Not that I blame her — via LiveJournal — posted by Anne at 19.02.2005 10:25 AEST | #

Acidic demon drool and DVDs are not a good mix, so it's worth covering your bases — via LiveJournal — posted by Red Wolf at 19.02.2005 10:26 AEST | #

Ha. Typical Spike, using Xander's name. Not that Anya would fall for that one. Hehehe — via LiveJournal — posted by crayonbreakygal at 19.02.2005 10:28 AEST | #

Spike only has to get out the door — via LiveJournal — posted by Red Wolf at 19.02.2005 10:28 AEST | #

Now there's a take on party I never even thought of. Great — via LiveJournal — posted by DM Evans at 19.02.2005 10:29 AEST | #

I like to think outside the square. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't — via LiveJournal — posted by Red Wolf at 19.02.2005 10:30 AEST | #

Poor Anya! If she had to decide between keeping to the letter of the agreement or consigning Xander to a hell dimension her head would really be spinning.

Another great drabble! — via The BatPack — posted by Sandra Strait at 19.02.2005 10:33 AEST | #

::g:: I so love your take on Anya. Really her, but still adorable and slightly above common humanity. I love it — via LiveJournal — posted by Leni at 19.02.2005 10:40 AEST | #

Many thanks. I see Anya as being wonderfully practical, but a little over the top in some things, this is one of them — via LiveJournal — posted by Red Wolf at 19.02.2005 10:40 AEST | #

Very funny! Great Anya voice — via LiveJournal — posted by Cady at 19.02.2005 10:42 AEST | #

It's funny because it's true! :D I'm certainly going to copy Anya's tactics next time I lend my daughter a DVD! ;) — via LiveJournal — posted by Grandmum at 19.02.2005 10:48 AEST | #

For me it's books. I worship books, but my friends who love reading treat them like shit. I got to the point where, after receiving a book back that had been chewed by the dog and dipped in oil, that I refused to loan them out any more — via LiveJournal — posted by Red Wolf at 19.02.2005 10:48 AEST | #

lol, makes me want to wiggle my head and proclaim you go girl!. I shant — via LiveJournal — posted by Pheral at 19.02.2005 10:49 AEST | #

Why didn't he sign Xander's name? — via LiveJournal — posted by tsita at 19.02.2005 10:52 AEST | #

He did — via LiveJournal — posted by Red Wolf at 19.02.2005 10:52 AEST | #

that's a good one.. I liked the twist at the end — via fanfiction.net — posted by bloody-awful at 19.02.2005 10:54 AEST | #

Wha, I thought I complained about late fees. At least I never got sent to a hell dimension. But, this is Spike, so is it necessarily a bad thing? He should have some friends there — via LiveJournal — posted by LilacGirl at 19.02.2005 10:55 AEST | #

I guess it depends on the hell dimension, but it may not be Spike going as he signed with Xander's name.

Great use of characters! Hmm if two demons sign a contract... excellent out-side the box thinking on the theme! Can so see it! — via LiveJournal — posted by sunnyd_lite at 19.02.2005 10:56 AEST | #

Thanks, I wanted to get away from the obvious party theme — via LiveJournal — posted by Red Wolf at 19.02.2005 10:57 AEST | #

Well, of course ... I should have seen that end coming — via fanfiction.net — posted by Mark at 19.02.2005 11:19 AEST | #

::cringes in horror:: Oh, God. If anyone treated one of my books so horrendously, their asses would just beg to be kicked clear to Jupiter — via LiveJournal — posted by IrishVampire13 at 02.08.2005 21:10 AEST | #
