by Red WolfSpike watched as Dawn bounced off the alley walls with an occasional giggle. He was still annoyed that her plan had won out, but had been forced to make the best of a bad situation.
There was a roar and a flurry of movement in the darkness. Spike leapt to Dawn's rescue and saw a head bounce on the roadway before being blinded by a fountain of blood.
Heedless of the gore soaking her jeans, Dawn knelt by Spike's side. "Told you it'd work, but you might want to come by my off side next time. It's much less messy."
