Park 02: Tether

Tetherby Red Wolf

"Who'd have thought, a virtuous priest." It seemed improvident for a man of the cloth to be alone in the park at night.

Drusilla glared at her naked companion and held up a flimsy collar and leash. "Bad Puppy! Saying nasty things about the vicar." The woman sighed, changed into a wolf and sat patiently as Drusilla attached the pink toy poodle lead.

The large wolf, loped at Drusilla's side, wondering if they would have more luck by the lake with the late night joggers and those who preyed upon them.

"Oh, the lake is such a lovely idea, Puppy."

Brrr. Nice and creepy. And Drusilla reading Puppy's mind? Excellent — via LiveJournal — posted by alliterator at 16.04.2004 14:25 AEST | #

Thank you. I think I'll enjoy playing with the creepiness of this !verse — via LiveJournal — posted by Red Wolf at 16.04.2004 14:26 AEST | #

I am intrigued, definitely intrigued...

...and Doctor Who? *big grin* We must talk more... — via LiveJournal — posted by Willa at 16.04.2004 14:27 AEST | #

And I mostly know where this one's going. Should make a nice change.

I never had much to do with Doctor Who as a kid. Saw a few Tom Baker episodes, but managed to see all of the Peter Davison ones, so he was my favourite.

The ABC has bowed to pressure and has started screening all the episodes from the beginning. 40 years of Doctor Who.

There's a few missing, notably the reason why the Doctor is stranded on Earth, but there's enough to get a real feel for the show. We're up to Jon Pertwee now, but I think William Hartnell has become my favourite Doctor — via LiveJournal — posted by Red Wolf at 16.04.2004 14:27 AEST | #

40 years of Doctor Who... feeling the serious envy for you now. I've always liked the Davison episodes myself, but do you know I've always had a soft spot for Colin Baker's brief tenure as well, particularly "Trial of a Time Lord", for some reason. "Delta and the Bannermen" from Sylvester McCoy's era... eh, anyway, Who was my big fanwank before discovering Buffy. Still have tons of the merch and novels, plus a godawful scarf I knitted to pattern.

Probably wisest not to get me started on Doctor Who; I could likely natter on for hours... — via LiveJournal — posted by Willa at 16.04.2004 14:28 AEST | #

Another well-written ficlet. You write Drusilla perfectly, imitating her off-beat way of speaking beautifully.

I think I'm growing attached to her.

The more I think about it, the more I like Puppy!verse. You know, it kind of grows on you — via LiveJournal — posted by Dawn S at 16.04.2004 14:29 AEST | #

Thanks. I keep worrying I haven't caught her nuances.

I've distracted the muse with shiny things and am leaning towards Park!verse, as that's where most of this !verse will take place. Whereas Puppy may return for future adventures with Dru and could get confusing. But I have the attention span of a goldfish and will likely have thought of something else tomorrow — via LiveJournal — posted by Red Wolf at 16.04.2004 14:29 AEST | #
