Flourish

Flourishby Red Wolf

Rose leaned on the railing, watching the Doctor working the controls of the TARDIS, his graceful hands flying over the instruments with practiced ease. "Doctor?" He made non-committal noise in response without bothering to look up.

"Are we having a problem with the environmentals?"

That caught the Doctor's attention. "Why do you ask?"

Taking the Doctor's hand, Rose led him through to the kitchen.

"Ah." He looked about the room. Every surface was covered in a carpet of small, bright wildflowers.

Rose smiled as she nudged the Doctor in the ribs. "I didn't know the TARDIS had a germinate setting."

Awww. ^^ That's incredibly cute and surreal all at once.

I wish my kitchen did that. I just get fuzzy green mold — via LiveJournal — posted by indefatigable42 at 09.09.2007 21:18 AEST | #

I just get fuzzy green mold.

Same here. We must be doing something wrong — via LiveJournal — posted by Red Wolf at 09.09.2007 21:19 AEST | #

Eep. Germinate? Does it only apply to flora? Or does Rose qualify too? — via LiveJournal — posted by mad_jaks at 09.09.2007 21:19 AEST | #

It may depend on what she's germinated by — via LiveJournal — posted by Red Wolf at 09.09.2007 21:20 AEST | #

Aw! Pretty. :) — via LiveJournal — posted by Grandmum at 09.09.2007 21:21 AEST | #

Probably not a lot of fun to clean up though — via LiveJournal — posted by Red Wolf at 09.09.2007 21:21 AEST | #

Love it — wish I had those environmental settings — everything I tried to grow from seed this year died on me :-( — via LiveJournal — posted by Padawan Pooh at 09.09.2007 21:22 AEST | #

Provided the germinate settings work where you want them to work. Having a lush crop of corn growing in the bathroom is probably not the ideal — via LiveJournal — posted by Red Wolf at 09.09.2007 21:22 AEST | #

Awww... That would be really pretty, but definitely not something you'd want in a functional kitchen.

Aargh! I stared at that bloody line of text for ages thinking something was wrong with it. Stupid brain.

I don't think a kitchen covered in plants would be terribly practical either. I'd much rather have the coffee demons — via LiveJournal — posted by Red Wolf at 09.09.2007 21:23 AEST | #

Very pretty, but not that practical — via LiveJournal — posted by Red Wolf at 09.09.2007 21:25 AEST | #

Ah, but it's my personal philosophy that practicality is very highly overrated. ::grins:: — via LiveJournal — posted by IrishVampire13 at 09.09.2007 21:25 AEST | #

Ah, but some nice flowers might be just what you'd need inside a mechanical, metallic — whatever it is — via LiveJournal — posted by Mark Hunter at 09.09.2007 21:26 AEST | #

But perhaps not inside the toaster and holding the fridge door closed — via LiveJournal — posted by Red Wolf at 09.09.2007 21:26 AEST | #

Ah — good point. And yet, being a person who manages to kill almost every house plant, I can't help being a little jealous. So far my aloe plant is hanging in, but it might just be dumb luck — via LiveJournal — posted by Mark Hunter at 09.09.2007 21:27 AEST | #
