by Red WolfMr Vandemar produced a bear paw from his suit pocket and proceeded to devour it.
Together with Mr Croup, he'd had a rather terminal chat with a supplier of upscale Asian restaurants earlier in the week. He had filled his pockets with a selection of various animal parts for later consumption, including pheasant carcasses and the paws of Himalayan bears.
It always paid to be prepared for an impromptu snack when you were eternally hungry.
On one memorable occasion, the preserved body of a long dead monk they had run across, had provided him with finger food for a week.

Mmmmmmm... delicious. Vandemar and his questionable appetite are always good for an "ulp" and an "ooh". Delighted as ever to see these two in your writing! — via LiveJournal

I always loved the honesty of Mr Vandemar. There's no subterfuge with him, he's there to kill things, pure and simple — via LiveJournal

*shivers* I honestly don't know what to say.
I could tell it was well written, despite its macabre nature.
I'm not sure if I liked it, and I'm not sure I didn't — via LiveJournal — posted by Dawn S at 27.03.2004 08:59 AEST |

I get that sometimes too.
But there are times when I like to leave the fun and mayhem of Spike and Dawn to play with the things that lurk in the dark. And it's always fun to wade through mistersleepless' collection of weirdness at Die Puny Humans for toys — via LiveJournal — posted by Red Wolf at 27.03.2004 09:00 AEST |

...ew...
eh, maybe the lack of attraction is a vegetarian thing... but, yeah, ew.
nicely written. Vandemar is an interesting and underexplored character. at least, in the book... — via deviantART — posted by heckthecat at 29.05.2004 21:31 AEST |

Mr Vandemar is eternally hungry. He will eat anything and isn't terribly fussy about what he eats, thought I'd take advantage of that — via deviantART
