Disconnection

Rose dangled her legs over the railing and stared at the luggage on the scanner. According to the readouts they were in the cargo hold of a 747, somewhere over the Atlantic.

"A plane? Is that better or worse than the container ship, the train or the interplanetary freighter?"

The Doctor grunted as he twisted knobs and spun dials on the console. "It's just a small glitch with the drift compensators."

"You said that six hours ago."

"I don't think the TARDIS wants us to leave." He sighed as he absently toggled a switch.

"I'm sure we can amuse ourselves."
