by Red Wolf"I'm telling you now, you won't like it."
Rose ignored him, paying the shopkeeper as she took her purchase.
It has been one of those odd little coincidences that she loved. Another planet, another time, yet they still enjoyed the simple pleasure of an ice cream cone.
She ran her tongue across the treat and smiled at the Doctor, before screwing her face up in disgust.
It was like blueberries or Dr Pepper. The initial taste was fine, but then an awful aftertaste kicked in.
"Burnt sprouts?" Rose nodded and binned the dessert. "Lucky you didn't try the custard then."

Hee! Funny even if you're one of the people who likes blueberries and Dr. Pepper. Aftertastes are of the evil — via LiveJournal

It's not so much the aftertaste, it's that time delay before the evil gets you that irks me — via LiveJournal

Brilliant description, as far as I'm concerned. ::remembers the vile, mediciny taste of Dr. Pepper when I was dumb enough to try it:: Poor Rose. (I feel like I've been saying that a lot lately.) :-D — via LiveJournal — posted by IrishVampire13 at 15.01.2006 22:33 AEST |

Sounds like a bad artificial sweetener.
Actually, I had blueberry pie for dessert, about an hour ago. I like pie — via LiveJournal — posted by Eric Adcock at 15.01.2006 22:40 AEST |

Pie good. Although not blueberry. Apple or rhubarb or mulberry or blackberry. Yum!
I'm not a fan of the taste of artificial sweeteners either, but I find them immediately repellent rather than having a stealth aftertaste — via LiveJournal — posted by Red Wolf at 15.01.2006 22:41 AEST |

Say, is this the same bad day as when Rose couldn't get the jar open? Because it would certainly fit in... — via fanfiction.net
