by Red WolfSpike was surprised to find the office empty. Well, almost empty. Andrew was sitting at Rachel's desk nursing a black eye.
"Where is everyone? What happened to you? And why does it sound like someone is strangling cats in the kitchen?"
Andrew moaned theatrically. "The Retjulls haven't forgiven me. Dawn is sweeping up the broken coffee cup and Rachel is singing to the demons to calm them."
"Ah." Spike shuddered, remembering the incident with the Vrykolp demon. It had taken some fast-talking to keep her as a client. "Lovely girl, but I fear for the eardrums of Rachel's future children."

It's a fun place to play. As for the title, I was quite surprised to find I hadn't used it for anything else, so yay! — via LiveJournal

::cringes sympathetically:: I'd hate to be there. But as long as the demons find her soothing, what else could matter?
Yeah, probably a lot of things — via LiveJournal — posted by IrishVampire13 at 08.09.2005 17:17 AEST |

The demons see Rachel as a demi-god. Wolf's singing is just as bad, but they don't worship her the same way, so Rachel may be bribing them with the good coffee — via LiveJournal

Well, you said dogs only picked up howling as a learned behavior... evidently, Levi learned to sing from Rachel.
Or possibly the other way around. ;P — via LiveJournal — posted by Moonbeam at 08.09.2005 17:20 AEST |

Well, the Retjulls like her singing. Andrew should be happy about that, if she wasn't placating them, he could have a matching set of black eyes — via LiveJournal

Many thanks! I enjoy prodding this lot about. I don't think Andrew is too pleased with my prodding at the moment, I may have to ease up on the poor guy — via LiveJournal
